Corn oil
Oil is extracted from the corn (or maize) germ to make corn oil. Refined corn oil is mostly used for cooking, where its high smoke point makes it an excellent frying oil. It is a crucial component of various margarines as well. Most other types of vegetable oils are often more expensive than corn oil.
